Today Plug-In. Spb Pocket Plus powerful Today plug-in is a tool that allows you to quickly launch your favorite programs right from the Today screen of your Pocket PC. It also shows you the status of the remaining battery life, amount of free storage space on the internal memory and the storage card, and backlight indicator. Today Plug-in tabs will make it easy for you to access all your Pocket PC settings and perform the very important operations including many utilities to give you more control over your Pocket PC.

Today Plug-In. Tabs and Items. To the Today screen of your Windows Mobile device you can add shortcuts allowing you to quickly open your favorite documents and programs, get quick access to settings and system tools, and to read and change the state of your battery, memory, backlight and storage card. You can organize shortcuts in tabs to save space on the Today screen. You can make the tab header with icon only (This will help you navigate between the tabs and to have more tabs). Plug-ins with dynamic icons can be added so you can see the tab status from its icon. Shortcuts can be dragged and dropped inside a tab or across tabs. Tabs can also be dragged to other positions.

Today Plug-In. Auto-hide Icons. Now the Today plug-in taking a smaller size on your Windows Mobile device screen. If you still don’t have enough space, you can select Auto-Hide Tab Content feature from the View submenu in any tab header context menu. This feature will hide all of the Today plug-in items until you call them by tapping on the tab header.

Today Plug-In. Multiple Third-Party Plug-Ins. With Spb Pocket Plus 4.0 you can place multiple plug-ins to each tab. So now Spb Pocket Plus can be used as an universal container for all Today plug-ins. For example you can place all Internet related Today plug-ins (search, news, etc) and Internet related shortcuts (IE, Messenger, etc) to one tab, everything media related to another tab, etc.

Today Plug-In. Landscape. Spb Pocket Plus Today plug-in is developed to be easily browsed in Landscape mode. You can use the same settings described above if you want to use finger navigation or minimum screen usage in landscape mode.

Personalization. Spb Pocket Plus provides full personalization of your Pocket PC. This personalization is achieved by Pocket PC Themes. You can download different themes from Spb Club Themes page.

An Pocket PC theme can be changed from Start -> Settings.

Pocket Internet Explorer. If you are a Windows Mobile device owner, you know that there is no way to open two Pocket Internet Explorer windows at the same time.

Enhance your Internet Explorer to do much more with tools such as Tabs (to open more than one page at the same time), Smart Scrolling, Fast Search, full screen mode, save as (to save pictures or a web page), view source, and more.

Pocket Internet Explorer. Search. Lunch your search quickly, type your search key word in the address bar and tap Search menu item from the Plus tool-bar icon. Spb Pocket Plus search uses Google search engine.

Open/Save dialog. Open/Save Dialog will extend the ability of the standard Windows File Open/Save dialog on your PDA. So you can browse your folders in any level to open or save your files and folders on the storage card or on your Pocket PC.

File Explorer. File Explorer will add the following essential tools to your system: ZIP support (compress and uncompress .zip files), encryption (protect your files with a password), storage card format, file properties.

Close Button. The standard behavior of Windows Mobile is to minimize the application when the X-button is tapped. That means the application will not be closed and it will stay in the background memory of your Windows Mobile device. Speed up your Pocket PC by closing running programs that takes up a lot of memory. Applications can really be closed with only one tap on the X-button. In addition, task manager menu will appear if you tap-and-hold on X-button. With the task manager you can easily switch between all active applications.

Buttons. Extend your hardware buttons operations by tap-and-hold action and assign to: switch between active programs (Alt-Tab), backlight change using a button, keyboard navigation in the Today plug-in, and more.

Safe Mode. If you install a third-party Today plug-in or a program that runs in the background and this plug-in or program has a bug you may have problems starting your device. Here, the only choice for you would be to completely hard-reset your device and lose all data. Unfortunately, this is not a rare problem. Spb Pocket PC Survey shows that 44% of respondents indicated that they have had such problems and had to hard-reset their Pocket PC.

When you boot your Pocket PC in safe Today plug-ins, autorun applications and services will not be loaded. So you will be able to uninstall the bad application and reboot the device in normal mode.

Spb Pocket Plus Options. This screen is always available from the Today screen. Select a desired item and then tap on the Feature Options button to customize the chosen group of options.
